CTRC Financial Support Policies

On February 25th, 2013, the CCTSI announced new policies and procedures affecting how services previously received from the University of Colorado Hospital and Children’s Hospital Colorado CTRC’s will now be supported. NIH has recently mandated that all CTSA programs implement a Program Income System that will change the funding model for CTRC resources and services to a model of subsidized fee-for-service. In response to this change, the CCTSI is launching a new MicroGrant program to assist predominantly junior investigators in paying for these services. Please note that facilities and space will continue to be provided by the CCTSI to all non-industry initiated studies at no charge.

Because of these changes in policy, new external grant applications need to incorporate these fees-for-service in the requested budgets. Please carefully read the following policies and contact the appropriate individuals below for assistance in developing your grant budgets.

Similar polices are under development at the National Jewish Health CTRC and the University of Colorado Boulder CTRC. Ongoing support for currently active protocols is addressed in these policies.

All services are provided as fee-for-service resources. Only IRB-approved protocols can request CTRC services.
